Ok, so I was a bit careless when using "no more gaps" expanding foam in my living room yesterday. Some of the foam fell on the floor and by the time I noticed I was able to wipe most of it off but it left a sticky residue that has now gone hard.

Can anyone suggest the best to remove it without damaging the floor underneath?

Thanks.

Acetone is pretty much the only thing will remove the foam residue but will also remove your varnish!

To be honest as long as you are not pouring it on and your floor has had a good few coats of varnish you should be ok but maybe practise on an inconspicuous spot first. Or if you recently did the varnishing and have some left go nuts and re aplly the varnish to that spot.
