Hi folks,
We have a skirting board with a BT master phone line "pinned" along its top (photo). As we're replacing carpet by laminate flooring, we need to remove and replace the skirting board, but we don't need to relocate the BT master box nor the phone line. Any suggestion on how to unpin the phone line from the skirting? Might you know -- from the photo -- what sort of pins is used here, and what technique to use to loosen/remove them?
The phone line has been painted over too, and stuck to the skirting. Of course we know the importance of not breaking the phone line! Our plan is to gently tap between the phone line and skirting with a small flathead screwdriver, first to crack the paint there. Then, at the pins, we use a small screwdriver to lever it from its base veeeery carefully.
Your advice will be much appreciated.
Cheers Andy
