Hi i had an old honeywell theromsat, i have just brought the Siemens RHD10 but can't seem to get the unit to work....

Old honewell had the following:

Blue wire in 2
Red wire in 1
Yellow wire in 3

I have tried a number of ways to wire the new stat in but nothing seems to work. I now seem to have messed up the control panel now as well.

In the airing cupboard i have a honeywell unit (program) which controls the water and heating.

I would love to have some help or i'll have to call in a heating engineer.

Thanks

Red wire to LX
Yellow to L1
Blue is not required and should be terminated in the new stat by a bit of terminal block

Should work :)

Thanks for that, to be honest that is one of the ways i had it wired so not sure what is happening.

The new room stat is wired as your instruction but now the box in the airing cupboard seems to be playing up, the screen is normally lit with a green light showing the display, now no light, when you press the on button or advance button the indicator shows its on or on advance but the red light doesn't come on, showing the heating isn't on.

This was working fine until i wired the new stat in, the question is would anything have happened, blown or damaged the controls if i did wire the new stat up wrong?

The controls in the airing cupboard is made by landis & staefa, model RWB9

I hope someone can give me some advice ;-)
