How would you add a step to this? (With images)

Hi all, can you advise how best to add steps on either side please of this extension. Air vents will need to be extended as part of the step.

Could you not deck it out to create a patio area with steps beyond. The base would be designed to allow space for the vents to continue working, or be extended. Is it block and beam inside?

you can just add a brick stack chimney and then do any steps you like, cover the stack with some grating. Or you could just add ducting and bring the vent out on a step face. eg https://www.screwfix.com/p/manrose-204-x-60mm-flat-channel-1m/59769
