My house is four years old but suddenly we have heard loud humming in the pipes when the hot water is used. Is this a concern considering it's been fine up until now? Any advice would be much appreciated

Thanks for the quick reply! Do you know what's probably caused this to suddenly come on? Is is a cause of the washers are worn or the arm is slightly corroded and not letting the water through to fill up the tank quick enough? I'm keen to learn!

Cheers.

well we live in a strong limescale area so might be the case!
Cheers!

Fit a limescale filter to your rising main.
Cost from £30 upwards, I have one and have noticed a reduction in scale on shower screen and in the kettle.
Of course the Scalemasters and such will be better but have you got £100-£200 to spare
