1/2 We have always been clear Parliament will be able to scrutinise Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) following signature, rather than at the stage where agreement in principle is reached.

A bit late to analyse the deal after its been signed. Or we planning to break that in a specific and limited way?

This is shambolic and stinks of desperation.

Indeed...

"Our scrutiny processes are among the most robust and transparent in the world."

But scrutineers won't be able to do bugger all about what borisconi has decreed...

Sounds like a dictatorship to me!

I think Boris thinks, "how can I get round this?" when he's signing an agreement.

Trade deals have always been subject to Royal Prerogative. Nothing new, nothing to see here.
