Lebanon has improved his ratings as has Iran threats. War and methods support in Israel's population is high.
Listening to BBC Jeremy reports who has specialised on the middle east and war for a long time he points out that Biden told Israel not react in anger from the word go but they have. This means that Israel is setting US middle east policy as they are going along with it all. Same with Lebanon and Iran.
He made another point. Gaza was an off the cuff response from Israel. Lebanon isn't. It will be something they have considered and planned for due to a failure last time they attacked. There were a dozen heavy hits in Beirut last night and they are even ordering evacuations there. Deaths ~1400 so far. ~1m displaced people. Some have even gone to Syria. Gaza is ramping up again. Aid there has dropped off again.
