Ideal Excel 28 Combi - Fault

Hope you can help.

I installed a Ideal Excel 28 combi on friday (my first ideal, normally stick to worcester and baxi). All piped up and ready to go, then nothing!!! Call for CH or DHW and red neon light appears and neon number 3 flashes 3 times. I checked connection to micro switches as per MI's. Power to pump but not spinning. Removed centre of pump and not air locked or jammed. Tennant is a friend who's just had a baby so did it as a favour as they were freezing and this happens. Called Ideal first thing saturday morning who promised an engineer would be there on sunday. Guess what..... no call and no engineer.

If anyone has experience of this then it would be greatly appreciated.

There was also a leak on the inlet in to pump (fault pipe seal beneath clip), starting to regret buying the Ideal!!!

Fault code is pointing to WPS mate or PPS
You got 5v DC on PPS at all when pump is stopped, and does that change to 0v?

I'll have to double check tomorrow morning. Couldn't get the pump to operate at all. As soon as I demanded heating i lost power to the pump and neon 2 & 3 appeared. I'll post back with results tomorrow.

From your experience, do you think it's possible a faulty micro switch?

Could be anything - but check WPS is working fine, and just double check proving switch makes mate - check ya voltages as well like in table I posted
