ideal isar boiler display. Please help.

I have an ideal isar and although its on there is no display lights coming on . Can any one tell me whats up?

I can tell you whats up, but it will cost about £330 inc VAT.

(BTW the words Isar and Ideal are the biggest clue....)

OK, so my good deed for the day is to suggest that you :- read the similar listed topics below, I believe your answer is given in at least one of them.

Yeah I am being cryptic here, but I have been turned over before having diagnosed the issue and explaining it to the customer only to be told "i'll have to think about it".

Hmmmm.. its come back on now but its making a faint scratchy noise.
Should it still get someone to look at it??
 
Nothing to do with the PCB if the boiler is still working. If there is just no display it will mostly be the control panel and the interface lead which connects to the back of the control panel to the pcb. No need to change a £200 pcb even though it's council.
