I have recently bled on of the radiators on our system, it had a huge amount of air in it, in fact I guess the pressure dropped really low whilst doing it, as air stopped coming out without spurting water, and I had to top up the system again before continuing bleeding.

My question is, how long should I leave the tap on topping up the system?

The system pressure doesn't seem to be increasing when I turn the tap on, is this expected, or have a wrecked something?

Thanks for your help in advance,
Alex

it will take a short time to register on the dial when your topping up aslong as all your bleed vents are shut and you have no leaks keep filling valve open should take between 30 secs and a few mins depending on size of system
