Ideas for a 4m square of topsoil

I've had the mother of all ponds filled with tons and tons of crushed concrete and then a 12" layer of topsoil.

Now I need to work out what I can plant/do with that topsoil. The area of the topsoil is in the middle of a decked rear garden. just as you step down from the patio area and to the left.

I basically want it looking nice with some plants but need it to be very low maintenance.

I've just filled a huge pond in! It's covered with soil now.
