Hi this is not the first time ive had to repair this machine (last time a found a blown capacitor) however this one is stumping me.

The machine will do a wash cycle but I cannot get it to do a dry cycle, either through a continuation post wash cycle or as a seperate dry.

When you press go to start the dry cycle the the lock clicks over then nothing, a few minutes later the lock undoes again.

There are no fault lights, no apparent blockages. Other funcions such as drain or spin are uneffected.

I have not been able to check yet if the machine is actually producing any heat durring the wash cycle. Wondered if there was a cut out if the heater was knackered that stops the cycle form starting. Ive done a basic connector check and looked for any damage. No signs of blown components as of yet.

Greatly appreciate the knowledge of you good folk, Im sure il work it out eventually but its always nice to have your time saved by someone in the know.

Okay I electrically tested all the heater parts. All fine. Opened up the heater chamber and cleaned it all out (not much in there). Now appeares to be working :S lets hope it was a dirty contact that I sorted while testing.

Fingers crossed it stays okay.
