Hi
In want to increase the size of my cold water storage tank as it occaionally runs dry due to my shower pump. Can I just add an additional tank purely to feed the cold water to the shower pump, fed by teeing of the mains water pipe, additional ball cock etc or can I add an additional tank and join both tanks together at the bottom? Which is best?

Best to link the two together.

You have to take the cold mains to the ballvalve in the first tank, and the outlets in the second tank, with a link between the two tanks.

OK thanks for that.

So I would be best repacing the original tank with a bigger one rather than adding a second tank?

I was trying to find an easier option!

No you can link the two together, you need a flow through the tanks otherwise one will stagnate
