I have an Indesit DIF04 diswasher that has gone into fault mode, the 1 (Intensive) and 3(Soak) indicator lights flash along with the on/off button light.

The user manual found online says that with 1 & 3 flashing (no mention of the on/off light) then problem is with the filters and trap but these are clean and clear.

When reset and switched on the washer fills with water and then stops, the lights start to flash and the pump kicks in and empties the water, the pump also continues to run when the door is opened and does not stop until the on/off switch is operated.

Any clues as to what problem may be would be much apprectiated.

Cheers, Keith

No diagram. Just remove the base and it's the big pump with a coiled spring in the end of it. And no not the same as the drain pump.

Many thanks, will be having a look this morning to see if anything obvious,

Had the dishwashwer out this morning, out in the sunshine which so far was the only bonus....checked pressure switch for operation and that it is functioning correctly, also removed outlet hose from circulation pump and checked that pump rotated when turned with screwdriver and that is was not blocked, hoses and filters all checked and clear, washer reinstalled and connected up with same faults :( on/off switch flashing as well as programme lights one and three and dishchage pump kicking in and continuing to run as previously mentioned until swiched off.

can anyone think of anything else it may be before putting it out for scrap man
