indesit dishwasher idl705 does not stop when open door

Hi all
Anyone know how the cut-off is triggered on these machines when the door is opened. It's stopped working (machine just continues with wash cycle when door is opened - I get very wet if I'm not concentrating!).

Is it something to do with the plastic latch beind the inner metal door panel? Is there a servicable/replacable part inside the panel? Is there another switch mechanism somewhere that I can't see?

Door lock faulty. Cost about a tenner easy to fit just remove consol panel.
