indesit idl 705 dishwasherfault lights 1 and 3

my idl 705 dishwasher starts cycle as normal, i hear it filling for about a minute then lights 1 and 3 flash and i hear water pump out, it then stops and i am left with 1 and 3 flashing (and dirty dishes) there is no water left in the bottom of the machine. any ideas?
