The door lock on our Indesit IWC6105(UK)E is on the way out so I ordered a new one which arrived today.
The problem is first I cannot see how to remove the old lock & secondly the new lock arrived with no plastic plugs to hold it in place.
I did talk to the company I ordered the lock from, as the old lock is held in place with two plastic pins, not screws & asked if the new lock came with everything needed to fit it, as ine of the old pins had pulled out & would not push back into place. Which part of the reason I need to replace the lock. It moved.
The new lock is a different design & I cannot see how it will attach as it has no pins & at least one of the old ones had failed.
Plus I cannot remove the old lock, it just will not manoeuvre out. Is there a way of doing it, or is it simply brute force??

One step forward, five back.
I managed to unclip the old interlock. It seems two years of use had stuck it firmly in place. However the new lock is not a replacement for the one that Indesit fitted when they built the machine.
Indesit are claiming it is a direct replacement for this machine, but the original interlock was clipped into place, this one was designed for a different version of the IWC6105 & it is held in place with screws. So is anything but a direct replacement.
I do not want to bodge a fix, I want what I was sold, a direct replacement that is designed for this machine, not a different model.
