Indesit WD10 - wash programmes not working

HI,

I've got an Indesit WD10 machine that until recently was working fine - now before the spin cycle the control dial just keeps clicking round until you have to manually switch the machine off.

Today I switched the machine off at the mains to clean the filter and now when I have switched it back on and nothing happens! There is power to the machine but when you turn the control dial to a programme the programme will not start.

I'd appreciate any info and advice.
