My WD11 washer/dryer automatically starts the dryer fan and light and spins the drum when the machine is powered up. This happens when the machine cycle selector is on a black dot. The cycle selector knob then starts spinning and flashes the F08 fault.

I have seen the F08 fault before and I know that the dryer operation is not typically what happens when this fault is indicated.

Any help much appreciated. My suspicion is that the big IC is faulty.

Pcb is faulty. Heater relay on pcb has had it.

Hey there,

Thanks for your reply, do you know which relay has had it, I have spares...

No. I don't go down to component level. Ring emw in nottingham they repair these pcbs. They might tell u which one it is.

Hi obviou5,

I have exactly the same fault. Did you end up getting it resolved? I've got spare relays too so if it is that fault that should be easy enough to fix. Is the 08 fault usually accompanied by the dryer going?

Cheers
