Thanks rocks1, will look into this. But how easy is it for a novice like me to change this? Do I need any special gadgets / know-how?

nope plug and play . board round the back on the bottom right if looking from front .wiring just plugs on to board plse make note what block goes where. send board for 24 hr turn around and they test it for you if not faulty costs a fiver, if it is faulty cost is 40 quid i think .
