Indesit WG1239TSG Drum not turning

My Indesit WG1239 fills with water OK and drains out OK but the drum does not go round as it should between filling and emptying and it doesn't spin. I have checked the belt which is fine and the carbon on the brushes are 24mm long so they are not worn out. I have tried it without the belt on the motor in case it was too tight but still no result. I am running out of ideas so any help would be appreciated!

look for burnt out tracks or dry joints on the motor control board. (bottom left side at rear) take note of where the plugs go.

also check fuse on Speed control module (motor control?) if it has one
