How do you calculate the amount of inhibitor required?

You follow manufacturers instructions as they are different for different products, or just overdose. It won't cause problems if you work on 5%, but some need only 1%.

Fernox needs 4% as they need more water to dissolve the salts into the solution in their bottle, Sentinel and Kamco use 1%.
