I am replacing a broken ceramic hob with a new one. The hob was already pre-wired but the wiring is European (Red, Brown, Blue, Blue and Earth). The wiring in place is standard UK wiring (Brown, Black, Earth).

I'm trying to work out how to connect the wires and copper horseshoe provided. See photo. So far only two rings are working. What adjustments are needed?

(TRying to add image) added to album so far...

INstructions are for a five core wiring. If you remove it the warranty isnt valid but its removed and uk wiring in place with only two rings working.

Model number Indesit VRM 640 X

The instruction manual doesn't completely help because the insructions only deal with the existing pre-wired installation.

I cannot make out from the picture how the links fit.

Also, I cannot add to what was said previously.
OK, from the manual.

Link 1, 2 & 3 together. That's the live

Link 4&5 together. Thats neutral

6 is the earth

Suggest u ignore the 5 core cable and connect as above.
