I read on another post Triton mixers are notorious for having too small a valve. currently we have a mira excel which is dated and getting a bit yellow so with the new bathroom a chrome triton polaris is going in its place.

i'm new to this plumbing business but have spoken to a few which say its no problem swapping old for new. I just dont fancy installing the shower and then finding out the pressure is no use, as the fiancee will certainly not put up with it like i'm likely too!

also do all shower valves, or most anyway use 1/2" Bsp threaded fittings?

What kind of pressure and flow rate do you get from your kitchen tap? This is what you should be going by when choosing what kind of shower you want.

the tap pressure, just by judgement rather than measurement seems good. and the shower pressure at the moment is very good

the box says a minimum of 8 litres per minute, unfortunately i am 60 miles away at the moment so cant check till sunday
