I can see this topic has been asked a number of times before and I think I have worked out what I need to do but just wanted to check before I did so to be on the safe side.
I have a potterton powermax he boiler currently connected to a potterton PRT100ST2 thermostat.
I have 3 wires in the thermostat, live, neutral and switched live.
Do I connect to the terminals in the new siemens wireless thermostat as follows...
L terminal = live
N terminal = neutral
L1 switched Live
the bit that i'm confused about is I read on another post I then need to connect L to LX (something to do with volt free??)
This last bit i'm not sure I need to do or not with regard to the boiler
any help/advice greatly appreciated
One more thing I should add looking at the wiring diagram of the boiler the wires feeding the exisiting thermostat are labelled -
Stat return,stat live, stat neutral
does this mean its not a permanent live? as the siemens requires a permanent live
