I am just about to install a new mixer tap. I have bought the flexi cable connectors to connect from pipes to tap.

The connectors include an olive and a washer (red plastic).
I have not been able to fit the washer when making the connection.
I have however been able to tighten the connector with olive to tap pipe, checked for leaks and none have occured. Do I need to use a washer for this connection or is the olive sufficient to ensure no leaks for the future.
Appreciate any advise !! thanks

Tony

You do not need fibre washers on compression joints.
Normally used on tap connectors. If no leaks give your self a pat on the back :D

The washer normally goes between the tap tail and the flexi - a bit unusual if it's a plastic one though
