Hi again.

Couple of questions about insulating a bedroom wall. I want to insulate in the eaves space behind a bedroom wall as per diagram below:

I'm getting there on the knowledge side of things (slowly) but im not sure of this, hence the question.

a. If i put a foam based insulating board such as foil backed
Kingspan against the inner face of the eaves against the bedroom
wall do i have to vapour barrier it?

If i were to insulate against the outer (roof tile) edge of the eaves i can understand the vapour barrier and free flow airspace (50mm) required, but as ive got the whole eaves there as an airspace i dont know about the inner (wall) face.

I hope ive explained this enough and i thank you in advance for any answers i get.

If you don't vapour seal you will have condensation problems and the insulation will not be particulary effective.
