Does anyone know of a program on the internet which allows you to put wall build ups, etc in so that you can see condensation, dewpoints, what works, doesn't work - I know architects have these kind os programmes but is there a DIY freebie one anywhere.
Thanks

a quick search for 'interstitial condensation software dewpoint' brought up

I've not looked at it yet. the demo is a 1.9mB download.

and a bunch of other stuff. See also part L of the approved documents.

If you have done the leg work to get R values for all the constituent parts of your wall build up, which you'll need to plug into the software any way, the sums aren't hard long hand- its no more than plugging the values into a bit of multiplication and division. You can do it as a graph based on a section drawing through the wall. I'm a bit rusty I'm afraid, I can't give you chapter&verse off the top of my head.
