intermittent hot water.

Hi,

I have noticed that my boiler fires up when the hot water is drawn but goes out every 30 seconds for about 10 seconds all the time. This means that when showering ( when we notice it the most) the water comes through cold at the same intervals.

The same thing happens when the heating is on (boiler goes on and off).

It is an Ariston Genus 30, 8 years old. Any ideas as to what is wrong please?
