Hi,
We have bought an old victorian house, we want to turn one of the 3rd floor rooms into a bathroom with wc, but it is not on an outside wall, can I just run a 4" waste pipe from the bathroom down 2 floors into the pantry which we are going to turn into a downstairs wc, then out under the floor to the man hole cover?

There is a toilet in the house that has a soil stack, but it is to far away to connect to.

Does the soil stack from the new bathroom have to be vented? or is it enough that there is already a soil stack going into the drain from else where?

Thanks

You need to involve BCO and do it properly with rest bends and possibly a sub stack.

You are likely to get blockages doing it your way too. ;)

Thanks,

I have arranged for a builder to come around this morning, some things are best left to the experts I guess.

Thanks
