I have an internal wall that is unplastered brick finish, but has been painted many times.
It is showing signs of damp in two places with black mold and cracking paint, that was hiding behind a wall unit.
I have identified the source of the damp as poor drainage from external guttering downpipes overflowing.
Any suggestons as to how to treat the internal wall prior to repainting after I have removed the mold and flaking paint.

Scrape the flaking paint off

Wash of the mould with a 1/4 solution bleach water and leave to dry....

Apply a couple of coats of damp sealer...

Fill any rough edges

Rub down and decorate.....
