There are only two types of people who use these sites,first type are the genuine people who cant find or have been through a bad relationship and I cannot see any problem in using the sites

Then there are the second type who to me are the perverted sort and go to great lengths to meet their requirements, in the fact they make me sick,just horrible seedy people

I agree, though I think the genuine users would tend to be the shy type who would possibly be vulnerable to being taken advantage of by those of a less scrupulous nature. I doubt that the genuine ones would be flying thousands of miles round the world either.

I agree again, those type of sick bstrds would fly all over to satisfy their perverted needs. One of the worst aspects of the internet is the ability it has given to sickos to groom impressionable people from a distance.

There was an example of this on that excellent TV series 'The Syndicate' that was shown recently. The chap arranged to meet what appeared to be a stunning oriental girl. She turned out to be one of those 'lady-boys'.

Such a shame.

Well that more or less sums it up, what JB42 & sooey have said is the reality, there are those out there that just want a quick fling, I know one guy who was traveling to Swindon one night then Merthyr the next, so long as the girls were thinking along the same lines then I see no problem, but if there is someone out there looking for a genuine relationship then they could get hurt.


I started this topic tongue in cheek when another was withdrawn for what is now an obvious reason, you know who you are, if you are taking advantage of genuine females who might be in a venerable place then you are no better than the stuff I pick up on my boots.

Do you mean that sleazy character who got a bit upset when I told him I wouldn't let him near kids and threatened to sue me? (He can sue me all he likes, I still wouldn't let him anywhere near my kids.)

My house mate and coleague, found himself a girlfreind on match.com after coming to the realisation that his current lift style, living and working with other engineers with hobbies in cars, mountainbiking and computer games didnt give him much chance of finding himself a parner.

Talked to a few girls before meeting one of them and two years they are very happy together and as of last week he has just moved out my house and into her flat half an hour up the road.

I dont think it happens like that for everyone, but it appears to have worked in his favour and I wish them the best of luck with it.
