In his homeland of Alagaesia, a farm boy happens upon a dragon's egg -- a discovery that leads him on a predestined journey where he realized he's the one person who can defend his home against an evil king.
This was just a Lord Of The Rings ,rip off really .....
I really wanted to like this but even with a very good cast ,it was woefully poor .....
Jeremy Irons, excellent if underused an he took this job just for the money methinks
John Malkovich,again underused an if you blinked you missed him ..lol
Rob Carlyle, he was hammy an he really got into the part but a poor script an direction let him down ...
Alun Armstrong, always a good actor but was another if you blinked you missed him ..lol
I really think this could of been SO much of a good film , an it was edited down BADLY.....
I cannot really recommend this film , it may appeal to young teen girls as the lead is a young *pretty boy* , there is some good fight scenes for young lads but on whole it was a mish mash of a film ...I believe they have 2 squeals like that other sword an fantasy film LOTR....oh dear ..lol
One was enough for me ....
btw the cgi dragon was quite good in it ...voiced by Rachel Weisz...
