Is it possible to fit a P shape bath backwards?

I'm a bit limited on space but would like a P shape bath.

The current bath is the length of the bathroom and can't really be much wider. However on the far side of the bath, the bath sits quite far away from the wall due to a shelf that runs across nearly the entire width. The shelf is there because the toilet waste stack runs up in the corner of the bathroom.

Obviously if I did this it would make some awkward tiling to fit it in properly at the back but I think with a bit of time and patience that could be achieved. Would a standard bath panel fit on what would normally be the back?

Would it end up looking silly?

Any other ideas?

Thanks

Sounds theoretically possible, pics would definitely be interesting....

There are probably some so called plumbers\bathroom fitters that do this all the time -when it's meant to go the other way around :)
