is my boiler dead ?

Hi guys new here.

I have a worcester greenstar boiler tank fed system when i light the pilot no probs lights every time when i try to get water or heat the boiler kicks in for 20 40 secs makes a woofing sound then turns off does this 5 times then shuts down .

Any help or advice weclomed.

check your pump it sounds as if it is seized

It would help if you stated the exact model. In any case your boiler will require professional attention as it sounds like an ignition fault. No further advice is allowed on here, and that's to prevent DIY attempts at a repair.

Dog stuck in the combustion chamber?

Agreed it sounds like no flow, check the zone valves and make sure the radiator trvs are open. Do you really have a pilot light?
