Hi,

New here so hoping for some useful info.

My girlfriend decided to powerhose the brickwork on our house which is around 25 years old, the powerwasher is very good and strong because we done the paving slabs which came up amazingly clean.

When she washed some of the brick work some very small pieces/crumbs came off while she was washing it but nothing major. I was wondering if this could cause any issues like if the brick work was waterproofed etc. No rendering fell out or anything so hoping we'll be ok.

Any advice would be appreciated?

Thanks.

Shouldn`t be a problem but if crumbs came off it could be sandfaced fletton bricks - they won`t appreciate you keep powerwashing the sand off them - they might change colour a bit. If you get discoloured areas with green mould etc. better to kill it with a fungicide and wash with normal hose - otherwise leave brickwork alone to weather naturally.
