Is Starmer already out?

Says who ? Whingeing rich kids who can't asset grab any more. Keyboard warriors with short memories who ignore the crap of the last 14 year of Tory rule ?
Says the London Economic for the current poll I was quoting. That's who says.
Yes the Tories were a disaster. Labour gained power because the conservatives were so bad - not because labour were so good.

Thing is, the tories are only interested in being good for the few who already have it good anyway.

So, if they can't manage even that, it shows how catastrophically awful they were and are (y)

It's the old trick of getting people to blame the current leader for the current problems. Lay the ground for character assassination in order to replace with less able people in charge and breed resentment. Makes it easier to get your own elected in the future.

And as bad as they are, they still aren't bad enough to want the Tories back yet.

The Tories that are still in the Tory party, or those who failed before but are now great because they are reform.

Labour gained power because the conservatives were so bad and some want more of them so soon.

Vote reform get failed Tories. Tories need some time to sort themselves out before they are fit to take office. Either type of Tory that is.

I predict the return of David Milliband
I like this or Wes Streeting, however i believe David is very much an outside bet.

Wes would do a better job, but still no Alpha male up against the likes of trump etc.

The real problem is the cost of borrowing.

there has been many years of Quantitative Easing with a stagnant economy which the Tories got away with due to virtually 0% interest rates.

But interest rates have shot up and cost of borrowing is killing public finances, combine that with the fact the Tories salted the Earth, we now have a big problem.

IMO Starmer was already stuffed when he allowed Reeves to steal the old folks keep warm money. Most voters were completely floored by that action.

IMO he should never have been PM in the first place. A frightened, weak, and little man.

The question is whether his successors want to chuck him out now, and risk a similar defeat, or wait.

Do it now, and there's 4 years for people to forget the fuss, and 4 years to do things to improve people's lives.

Do it later, and there's less time for people to forget the fuss, and less time to do things to improve people's lives.

Don't do it and there's no chance.
