Is this o.k? That's the wall at the top, wood in the middle, foam then the upvc window frame. Just moved to this house; trims a bit loose, no big deal, but before I stick them back on; the wood! Is that normal? It is a bay window by the way.
Wooden battens are sometimes used to batten around the cavity, or wood is used as packers for the window installation or for general support.
Not sure if it is either of those.
gaps in the foam fill may act as cold bridges, may want to add more (again, can't make out if the gap is because of the wood, or just lets you see the wood).
