I don't like tiles in my bathroom, I just don't like em at all...

I am now about to fit out my bathroom with a complete new suite ( already here! )

Does anybody have any experience of these products?....or are there any others that I should consider?

• Plastidip, just paint on a waterproof coat http://www.plastidip.co.uk/index.cfm?page=products&prodId=1 ... seems to good to be true .
• B&Q corrigated plastic sheets made for bathrooms.....not a very appealling finish I think.
• Mermaid boards. rather expensive but they do look the part.

Many Thanks

Andy

There are other options:

Spashbacks -

brushed steel or shiny steel panels.

Have you considered using floor tiles instead, larger coverage and more choice.

there are specialist melamine and coated panels you can get specifically for bathrooms, similar effect to posh splash backs but more affordable.

Frosted safety glass panels.

Personally I think that the Plastidip will make your bathroom look like a school shower or worse prison style, I doubt it will give a nice looking finish.

I used matt white melamine laminate straight onto the wall (secured by screws and restrained by the enclosure) behind a shower cublicle, but I think tiles would have looked better. I just did it because i am not very good at tiling

Goodness ....... is it that long ago I asked about this  . .... thanks Moogie & John for your replies, much appreciated. ....

I still have the new bathroom in pieces in a bedroom and can't yet face the task of converting the old one.......

Melamine laminate is a good suggestion.... unlike my wife I just want functionality ( no leaks !! )

...... any suggestions for flooring please? ( I can't have a wet floor but would like something thats splash proof - 1st floor wooden planks atm )
