Hi

I’d like to change the bleed valve on our towel radiator, mostly because it’s a bit rusty.

I’ve isolated the radiator by closing the lock shield and setting the try to 0.

However when I open the bleed valve at the top, water jets out. I thought there could be water still getting through, but when the heating is on this radiator is stone cold.

Should an isolated radiator jet water from its bleed valve if the valve is open, ie is there internal pressure within the rad. If so, how long will it bleed for before the flow of water stops.

Should stop after 30 seconds or so. When you start to remove the complete bleed valve ,more water will flow out for a bit too.
