I've known people post hate speech and have to delete or edit, once their illegal actions were pointed out. Its almost as if the poster making the hate speech was a moderator who read the report and edited accordingly.

Isn't hate speech a legal definition.
Wouldn't it be up to a court to decide what constitutes hate speech and what doesn't
