Hi,

I am having a total nightmare of a time since a plumber changed my cylinder in an open vented system.

The plumber has place the filter on the expansion pipe where there is no flow.

The radiators are now only heating up to around 35c.

I know the pump is in the incorrect orientation, could this be causing this?

I opened the chromed screw and there is water there.

Can anyone tell from the photos if the pump is in the incorrect location?

Thanks any help would be appreciated.

The boiler runs , I have shut it off as I am a bit worried that I could do damage to it.

There’s an arrow on the pump body, which way does it point? As per Terry, I doubt it’s on the open vent/expansion pipe.

cylinder stat is also placed far too high on the cylinder and temp is low at 50

Filter on expansion pipe ?

Not the clearest of photos but it looks like your pump is on the flow into cylinder
