I have 3 radiators valves on the third floor that do not seem to open or budge... the valves are a twenty years old, it is a metal wheel valve that is usually turns about three rotations to open it completeltly.

I thught about spraying wd 40, would this loosen the rust, or do i have to call a plumber to drain the system and replace the valves.

Any suggestions.

You won't do much harm trying to loosen it with a bit of penetrating oil or WD40. Just mind the carpet ! Once its had that on for a bit, try turning them a little the 'wrong' way before turning it in the direction you want.

If the central shaft has a nut around it, try loosening it off half to 1 turn before trying the wheel . the next thging plumbers would try is heat, from a blow lamp or heat gun.
