Hello all!
I just moved into a new home and immediately realized there's something wrong with the underfloor heating. It’s a John Guest Speedfit system—fairly basic, I believe. When the thermostat calls for heat, the control box LED starts flashing rapidly and makes a clicking noise.

While this is happening (for a few minutes at most), the pump stays on and I can hear it working. Eventually, the clicking stops and the light on the box begins to fade slowly on and off, but the pump shuts down completely. The pipes around the pump get hot and the floor eventually gets 'warm-ish,' but it takes a full day to happen. Does this look familiar to anyone? Should I replace the control box? The system is supposedly about five years old.
Thank you.

Hi, yes, normally should be on a number but tech guy from JG suggested to put it into test mode that should force pump to move. When it's on a number it just does nothing at all. Their website also say 2 year warranty for pumps and electrical components - maybe 25 is for installation?

Are you able to test if the pump is getting power if a number is selected?

Yes, it flashes it's lights for a second and goes off. It's only working when on test setting until it stops clicking.

Yes, but test if the pump is actually getting power on 1,2 or 3? If not then it points to the control box. maybe bypass it and see if the pump runs then.

Just did the bypass and the pump works fine. I'm able to change any and all settings via button on the panel. So this must be the box itself.
