I can hear the to wits and to woos of the tawny owls at the bottom of the garden. But nothing beats a barn owl silently flying across the path of your car on a dark country road late at night, its white plumage illuminated by the headlights.

Not common birds, I have seen only but a few on the many Owltings Ive been around this country the only Barn Owl I can remember was in a barn when I was about 19

I used to see barn owls regularly years ago when I was night fishing. It is amazing how they can fly but make no noise.
