A very good kicking followed by a long spell of incarceration, but most importantly a mark branded into the forehead to warn other people in the future.

Interesting dilemma..? You agree that lawless punishment should be dealt out in some circumstances but only if it fits your agenda..

But you think, as the offender above - it is right in ANY circumstances to deal out injury and possible death.

So what you think about what I feel is of no interest to me.

Puts me in mind of those priests who (used to?) get moved to a new parish where nobody knew about them, so they could start all over again.

Is there a Register for people who attack babies?

IMO he needs to be prevented from having the chance to do it ever again.

5 years seems short to me.

I'd give him 2 weeks in prison,,,,,,,,,,,, until he was given the long drop with a short rope around his neck. Saves us taxpayers having to keep him inside for a long long spell.

You are not very good at this spin business are you? I for one am interested in you pointing out where I have said that it's right in any circumstances to deal out injury and possible death.

I was just showing the hypocrisy of people like you who when faced with certain emotional situations are prepared to use violence to justify your own sense of justice.

I for one have a strong belief that life is not anyone's to take away but like you and many others I can see situations where violence is justified.

You have to wonder why the guy went into a relationship a second time that had a small child. Every parent should have the right to run a discreet check on a potential partner. I don't have a criminal record so what do I have to hide?
 
Good idea. Shut the prisons and shoot the lot.
 
I would ensure whatever prison he goe's too all the other prisoners are aware of his crime . Im sure proper justice would then be served
