Hi all,

I am removing my floor to do some joist repairs and airflow fixes and am debating install Kingspan 100mm Insulation

I have noticed a lot of people mention Kingspan Insulation been installed between the joists.

1. Is it worth the hassle
2. Is it worth the cost of about £400

My rooms are (dining) 12ftx12ft and (lounge) 12ftx18ft.

The floors are timber with a subfloor that has clay on the base.

Any suggestions please?

Thanks

Simon

Depends if you like a warm floor or not. A cheaper but less insulating solution is Rockwool (loft insulation) suspended on chicken wire.

yeah id go for wool on the floors.

Kingspan is great for walls and ceilings though... not thats not good for floors but the cost means i use wool on floors as heat rises its the least important part of a room UNLESS its above a garage etc
