Hi,

Looking to extend the kitchen in a detached new build property, had the plans approved and the builder lined up to do the work in about a month.

The wall we are extending out (about 2 metres) is currently where the kitchen sink is and as such have all the plumbing to effectively 'relocate' and move back 2 metres.

Obviously looking to get a plumber in for this, not got a quote yet but kinda worried that its going to cost quite alot of money :( I say this because the wall we are effectively knocking down an rebuilding is where the kitchen sink is and all the stopcock etc is sat nicely below it. Also the drain will need to be relocated and pipework redone etc.

Going to get a few plumbers out in the next week or so but am i right in thinking that this is going to be quite a big job?!

Thanks for any advice.

You may have to move your drains which means getting permission and paying your water co and handsome amount to say yes and inspect.
Ground work drainage is never cheap.
