Hi all,
new kitchen going in soon.
Think we're gonna refloor it totally before installing the kitchen, but we can't decide what to use.
Currently we have tiles which are cold. They are sitting on a concrete sub-floor which we need to break up and remove to level it with the new extension floor that flows through into the kitchen.
Now, even though it flows through (with a walkway) it doesn't mean we have to use the same kind of flooring throughout.
Karndean is the weapon of choice in the extension, and probably in the kitchen too. But it may be a different colour/pattern.
However, if we decide to re-tile the kitchen instead of Karndean is there anything that can keep some level of warmth in the floor, without underfloor heating?
Basically, i understand Karndean flooring is warmer than tiles, but are there any kind of tiles that are warmer than others? Does it depend on what you put underneath the tiles?

Thanks for any help. :)
