Hi there everyone

Got a ceramic tiled kitchen floor and it has a number of battle scars from my good lady drop testing those big heavy cast iron pans on it. ( can't possibly be my fault ! ).

Small chips about the size of a 5p coin, or less.

Does anyone know of an off the shelf product that will repair this damage?

Your help would be most appreciated.

Thanks

nothing can repair a broken tile fella, unfortunatly for your situation, only correct way to fix is remove offending tiles and replace, hopefully you had some spare when floor was put down so either yourself or tiler can replace like for like, otherwise your going to have a shading problem most probably.

If you haven't got a spare tile to replace the damaged one, you can repair the damage. You need to apply a primer to the damaged area, then paint using a high gloss oil based paint (get a sample made up). When the paint is dry, you need to apply a clear epoxy resin over the damged area to fill in the hole and protect the paint. Get hold of some Devcon 5 minute clear epoxy and apply it with a match or cocktail stick. You can get it from angling stores - it's what fly fishermen put on their flies. Ooer missus. ;)
